The cabin is fantastic! Lots of privacy, in the middle of nature, great view. The cabin meets all requirements. It is beautiful, clean, comfortable and sustainable. Everything you need is there. Highly recommended for nature lovers. The sheep that roam freely in the area and around the cabin give it extra character. Contact with our host was very easy, they also gave good tips. Easy to reach from Bergen Airport.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this place immensely. Definitely one of our favourite B&Bs we've been to! The location is incredibly beautiful and relaxed. The cabin is spacious and contains everything you might need. As for the hosting, communication was smooth and very friendly. They are happy to help and are very thoughtful.

We stayed four nights at Voss Waterfalls. The peace and beautiful surroundings were great! We felt completely zen... All necessary comfort was present. Ideal to de-stress. The communication with the host was very smooth and they were always available.

Unique and beautiful cabin in the most peaceful surroundings. Amenities were great, interior decor was lovely, and everything was very clean. We appreciated all the little thoughtful touches and found the hosts really easy to communicate with - everything was as expected!

The authentic and characteristic cabin, with fine blankets and fine details such as a chocolate bar, coffee presence. It's so nice when you arrive. The sheep that came to visit were also very nice.

We are a couple from Bergen, Norway, who are lucky to have experienced this lovely cabin on several occasions. The cabin is clearly well looked after. The owners are particularly pleasant, and as biologists they are genuinely concerned with looking after the property and the surrounding nature. The cabin is a short walk from the car park and is situated in the middle of two rivers, with waterfalls on both sides. Even with the short distance from the car park, you feel completely off the beaten track when you arrive at the cabin, just as it should be. We feel privileged to once again experience this gem of a cabin. Thanks for the company and hospitality.

Fantastic closing of our honeymoon trip! Fantastic cottage in the middle of nature, everything sparkling clean and beautiful combination of comfort and rustic. Pleasant communication with the landlords, clear description of the operation and rules around the rental. Would love to come back again!

The cottage is absolutely great if you are looking for peace and quiet in nature! ❤ The location is excellent; it's very quiet, and the sound of the waterfalls and the river right next to the house accompanies you from the moment you get up in the morning until you go to bed at night. I've rarely slept so well on vacation! 😄 It was truly wonderful to enjoy my first cappuccino in the morning outside on the terrace with a view of the landscape and snow-capped mountains, and to watch the sunset there in the evening with a glass of wine ❤ The hosts were also super nice and extremely helpful! ❤ They were always approachable and answered all the questions we had during the days, which was something I've experienced quite differently in other holiday homes...

We stayed with our two kids 5 days in the cabin. It was fantastic! Everything was taken care of to the last detail and attention was paid to everything. A beautiful setting and wonderful location. Went to Bergen, to the Vøringfoss waterfalls and did the walk above the cottage. Recommended!

Getting Around

As with most things in Norway, given the vast territory: to get there you will likely need a car. Norway produces vast amounts of hydro-electric energy from it’s mountain waters, so electric driving is old news… But a cabin in pristine nature is always a drive from a supermarket, airport, pub.

Arriving

Our cabin is ideally situated, along the previously only road connecting Bergen with Vossevangen. It lies in between Bergen Airport and the Hardanger fjord region. The drive is a smooth 1:20h from the airport and with one upward climb (a mountain pass road) you arrive at our highlands, overlooking mountain range that holds such marvellous landmarks as Kiellandbu.

Parking

Our cabin lies nearby the main road, but ideally no cabin is right at the road. Any Norwegian prefers the silence of some seclusion. Ours lies around a bend of a river so that all you have is the vistas and sounds of waterfalls.

Parking is private and slots appointed. There is no charge if you are a visitor of Voss Waterfalls.

From the private parking, using appropriate sized luggage for carrying (backpack / dufflebag), the walk is 210m on a private path that winds along one of the rivers that passes through our land.
